Actively identify and qualify new business opportunities for entry to the company pipeline Opportunity Management System (OMS). These opportunities will come from various tools made available, including GovWin, Bloomberg, FPDS and other Government available databases.

Grow and maintain the scope and profile of the company New Business pipeline of opportunities by Identifying, analyzing and qualifying each opportunity within the structure of the company Go-To-Market strategy. Analyzes draft RFI/RFP/SOW to determine strategic alignment with the company offerings, contract vehicles and partners to help determine a probability of capture (pCapture).

Responds to RFIs and Sources Sought announcements, develops initial capture reviews and works with the Capture team to provide competitive assessment, and pricing and other information during the capture phase of the Business Development lifecycle. Interacts with a broad range of departments within the company (i.e., Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Business Management, etc.). Prepares and presents recommendations in the form of Gate Reviews to the Capture Team and Business Development management.


Minimum of 2-3 yrs. of professional experience providing project management, business and technical requirements management, marketing and/or market research, preferably in support of military, federal government, or contractors.

Minimum BA / BS Degree from a Nationally Accredited College or University in business or technical domain.


Conduct research, review, and analysis of data from several federal procurement databases [i.e., historical procurement data, open source federal procurement databases, etc.]
Develop, manage and report on a pipeline in the Company Opportunity Management System [OMS]
Manage the process of identifying and filtering pre RFP and RFP opportunities
Identify and provide assessment of requirements and provide clear and concise written and verbal analysis
Assist with developing white papers, Requests for Information, and Sources Sought
Track, manage, and execute multiple work assignments on a timely basis using MS SharePoint
Create, coordinate, and conduct presentations of varying topics to internal customers using Microsoft [MS] Office Suite [Word, Excel, PowerPoint]
Make cold-calls and set up meetings as required
Provide weekly/monthly summary reports of on-going activities as requested
Attend meetings, take notes, and document [and publish] task lists
Establish dialogue and communication with teammates, gathering intelligence on buying cycle, timing, funding, competition, scope of work, etc
Perform analysis of the Company’s capabilities to determine if there is compatibility with specific opportunities [e.g., Capability Matrix]
Gain clear understanding of customer requirements and validate customer issues, wants, needs, and hot buttons through research
Determine key competitors and critical gaps and discriminators
Manage the transition of opportunities from lead to capture management


Knowledge and ability to research, review and comment on Requests for Proposals, Performance Work Statements, Requests for Information and Sources Sought
Demonstrated expertise and success in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities
Demonstrated organizational, and communication skills with the ability to independently set priorities, to organize tasks, monitor assignments, and ensure completion of assigned work.
Ability to learn and understand the InterImage Business Development processes
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite [especially MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Sharepoint], or similar systems.
Flexibility to work from a remote site when required and or approved
Knowledge/ Skilled in the Shipley Capture Process and able to work / follow a "modified" Shipley model
Experience with different acquisition types [e.g., Single Award, Multiple Award, IDIQ]
Understanding of different teaming strategies [i.e., Prime/Sub, Over /Under, CTAs, and Joint Ventures]
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Schedule flexibility necessary to cover more than an 8 hour shift when required
Task flexibility to respond to rapid adjustments in the priority of work assignments in a fast-paced environment
