Our Capabilities
Since its founding, InterImage has been involved in the development of e-gov applications. E-gov is the core of what we do every day. Our expertise in the area is deep. Support we have provided has ranged from defining e-gov strategies, to analyzing business processes and identifying transformational applications, to supporting GPEA efforts, to developing and deploying e-gov applications and citizen centric web sites, to ensuring appropriate alignment of e-gov initiatives with agency priorities and architecture. Initiatives that we have identified and implemented have successfully reduced costs and improved the efficiency of operations.

Based on our extensive experience working with web sites and web technologies, InterImage is skilled at performing site evaluations, conducting web technology analyses and working with our customers to identify appropriate strategies for their organizations. Over the years, we have developed and honed our methodology for conducting these evaluations and analyses. The process leads to the development of prioritized short and long-term recommendations for enhancing an organization’s utilization of web technology, whether that is through a web site, web-based applications or an overall web strategy. These recommendations are structured to become inputs to the next phase of our framework, the design, development and implementation of the web-based capabilities.

Our Results

Our e-gov application developed for the FTC was named one of the top 25 e-gov projects in the federal government for 2002.

InterImage has assisted a number of its customers to define their vision regarding the use of web technologies and to create an architecture that supports that vision. Creating the appropriate architecture requires an understanding of how to overcome staff reluctance to change and how to structure information for effective use combined with detailed technical knowledge in the areas of systems design, database design, and security. Utilizing personnel skilled in web technology deployment issues combined with our analytical methodology, InterImage defined actionable e-gov strategies and then translated that strategy into effective solutions.

	Best of the Web For DC Government, InterImage provided expert consulting to capture information on what other states and municipalities are doing in the area of e-gov and to define DC Government’s e-gov strategy. We then re-designed and developed the www.dc.gov portal, resulting in this site being identified by an independent review body, the Center for Digital Government, as one of the top state and municipal government sites in the country in their 2003 Best of the Web awards.
