TECHNICAL LEAD – (008-08)
InterImage, Inc. is seeking a Technical Leadto join one of the greater Capital region’s top 50 fastest growing technology companies and third fastest growing woman-owned businesses named by Washington TECHWAY magazine. Nestled in the Ballston Common area of Arlington, Virginia where the people are friendly and the region is booming with development and modernization.
TheTechnical leadwill lead a team of 10 to 15 software and database engineers in the design and development of application enhancements as well as new solutions. The work location for this position is at a client site in Washington, DC.
As a Technical Lead, your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide day-to-day technical leadership and guidance to a technical team of 10 – 15 people
- Lead the team in design, coding, review, and testing activities
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting project status.
- Adhere to established polices and procedures to ensure integrity and quality of projects
- Guide developers on best practices
- Provide guidance on application design and system architectures
- Provide input to the technical aspects of the Project Plan
- Provide technical guidance to other team members
- Interface with client and technical leads from other vendor teams
- Contribution to white papers and proposals for solutions to improve and consolidate systems
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Strong technical background, excellent client and project management skills, proven ability to do hands on technical work when needed, and ability to lead technical projects and technical teams
- At least 5 years of experience with design and development of web based and client server applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Enterprise Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, Object Oriented Analysis & Design, Data Management, and Database Modeling
- Experience with J2SE and J2EE, Oracle and SQL Server databases, and Oracle applications
- Ability to build, manage and follow processes compliant with CMMI and other industry best practices
- Bachelor's degree or higher in related discipline
In addition to the skills listed above, our ideal candidate should also possess the following desired skills:
- Experience with ColdFusion and PowerBuilder
- CMMI experience preferred
