InterImage, Inc. is seeking Java Developers to join
one of the greater Capital region’s top 50 fastest
growing technology companies and third fastest growing

magazine. Nestled in the Ballston Common area of
Arlington, Virginia where the people are friendly and
the region is booming with development and
modernization.
The Java Developer will perform software development
and maintenance tasks for multiple systems. The work
location for this position is at a client site in
Washington DC or our location in Arlington, VA.
As Java Developer, your key responsibilities will be:
• Performs design, code, and unit testing of fixes and
enhancements to multiple Java applications.
• Works with Oracle DBA to maintain databases used by
Java applications.
• Works with Documentation Specialist to create or
update system documentation.
• Participates in peer review of code and documentation
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Identify improvement items associated with existing
J2EE and Java applications
• Make recommendations for improvement and help to plan
and implement recommendations
• Provide ongoing production system support of existing
J2EE and Java applications
• Ability to work in a multi-contractor environment
supporting the team and representing InterImage
• Perform all CMMI tasks as related to software support
activities
The ideal candidate for Java Developer must possess
the following qualifications:
• 3-5 years of systems engineering experience working
with J2EE and Java.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and
written, with team members, other staff and clients
• Ability to explain complex issues to non-technical
management.
• Experience in the entire life cycle of application
development
• Self-starter who is organized, works with minimal
supervision, and is a team player.
• Excellent team work and communication skills,
including strong interpersonal skills and the ability to
work closely with others
• Strong analytical skills
• Solid written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to manage expectations
